I meant 2.5 – thanks, I’ll update that in the post. By the way – I’ll write a post on this in a bit, but everything I did for this development was great for learning, but I kind of feel a bit dumb now…. Have you seen http://www.ning.com? It’s a framework for Social Networking sites (or member sites). It has everything I attempted to throw together and 10X more, and is also much easier to manage. It has advertising, but you can buy the rights to it, and for what I wanted, it’s probably the direction I’ll transition my member site to.

Also, do you mean Wordpress 2.5? Or is there really a Wordpress 5.2?

Wow, great write-up!! I’m thinking of doing something similar for a pet project I have going on called BradfordPages (http://www.bradfordpages.ca). Your post will definitely come in handy and has inspired me to document my trials with WP.

UPDATE – I just found a new plugin called WP Status Notifier which sends a notification to one or multiple addresses when a post goes into “pending review”, and it even notifies the author when the post is accepted
